Thirteen-Hour Enduro Racing Heads to VIR |

DANVILLE, VA. - VIRginia International Raceway.is once again host to one of the most exciting races of the season: the November 1, NC Region Sports Car Club of America’s ‘Kumho Tires Charge of the Headlight Brigade’ endurance race. Pitting as many as 80 club racers against each other, the track and the elements, this is the longest race on VIR’s calendar, running from 9:15 Saturday morning until 10:15 that night. |

Second Closest KONI Finish at VIR |
|
The second-closest finish in Grand-Am KONI Challenge series history occurred Sunday at VIRginia International Raceway. The Bosch Engineering Twin Six-Hour race for Grand-Am KONI Challenge cars went down to the wire, with Mike Canney, Hugh Plumb and Matt Plumb beating out the sister Rehagen Racing Mustang by only 0.208 second at the checkered flag, six hours after the green flag flew over the season’s final race. Third went to the TRG Porsche driven by Andy Lally, Peter Ludwig and Scott Schroeder. |

Holtom Wins Race and Championship at Bosch Twin Six |

In a day marked by flawless October weather, the Chevrolet team of Jamie Holtom and Lason Aschenbach and Ken Dobson clinched the team season championship in the Grand-American Sports Car Series KONI Challenge Street Tuner class by finishing in Saturday’s half of the Bosch Engineering Twin Six-Hours.

down to the wire, the Grand-Am KONI Challenge Series Grand Sport (GS)
race is too close to call. Seven drivers will be battling for the
championship, or at least a share of the title, and they'll all be
suited up for Sunday's season finale, the Bosch Engineering Twin Six
Hours at Virginia International Raceway in Alton, Va. The race begins
at 11 a.m.
