DANVILLE, VA &amp;ndash; Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) racers
return to VIRginia International Raceway this weekend for the Al Fairer
Memorial Double SARRC Regional races.


Boasting some of the Southeast&amp;rsquo;s best sports car road
racers, the weekend show brings together families who race, work and play
together at America&amp;rsquo;s finest road course, VIR. Recently host to the Grand-Am
Rolex Series Daytona Prototypes and GT cars, VIR&amp;rsquo;s 3.27-mile road course saw
its first action with an SCCA race in August of 1957, with legendary racer and
car builder Carroll Shelby taking the feature race that steamy weekend.
